🍊 New T&T Store Coming to Erin Mills
Mississauga is getting its second T&T next summer with a new location at the Erin Mills Power Centre. The 40,000 square foot space will offer plenty of room for the fresh produce, prepared foods, and bakery items many local families already look for. Its spot just off Dundas and the 403 makes it an easy stop on regular shopping routes.
This new store will help serve the growing neighbourhoods in west Mississauga and nearby Oakville. For many residents, it means shorter drives for specialty ingredients and a wider variety of everyday staples. It is a practical addition that reflects how quickly our community is expanding and what people here are looking for in their weekly grocery options.
🧱 Mississauga Hosts Canada’s Biggest Lego Event
Bricks in the Six is returning to Mississauga this weekend, and it is bigger than ever. With millions of Lego pieces and the largest collection of fan-built creations in the country, the Hilton Mississauga Meadowvale will be buzzing with families, hobbyists and anyone who loves a good dose of imagination. The display space has doubled since last year, giving everyone more to explore.
Visitors can wander through intricate builds, meet talented creators and browse vendors offering rare and vintage pieces. There is also a huge building zone where kids and adults can create together, making it a fun outing for multigenerational groups. It is a lively way to enjoy the weekend and see just how creative our community can be when we all gather to build something fun.
🎄 A Sparkling Holiday Night in Celebration Square
Downtown Mississauga is set to glow on November 22 as Light Up the Square and the annual Santa Claus Parade return for an evening full of festive energy. From 4 to 8 p.m., Celebration Square becomes a lively gathering place with music, photo spots and the season’s first skate on the outdoor rink. Santa arrives at 6 p.m. to light the tree, marking the true start of the holidays.
Families can explore everything from live performances to food trucks and creative kid friendly activities spread throughout the downtown. Parade watchers will find plenty to enjoy along the route, including colourful floats and cheerful surprises. With so much happening in one walkable area, it is an easy and memorable way to welcome winter with neighbours and friends.

🥫 Mississauga Grocer Honoured

Daniel Nedelko, owner of Daniel’s No Frills, has received the Key to the City after months of steady food donations to the Malton Youth Hub. What started as one van of groceries early this year has grown into a weekly effort that now helps feed more than 400 young people with breakfasts, lunches and after-school snacks. His store supplies everything from fresh fruit to eggs and dairy.
City leaders say this support is making a real difference for youth who rely on the Hub’s daily meal program. Many come from diverse backgrounds and face barriers that make consistent nutrition harder to access. By stepping up in such a reliable way, Nedelko and his team are helping create a healthier, more welcoming environment for young people across Malton.
🚧 Traffic Calming Arrives on Busy Truscott Drive
Truscott Drive, long known by locals as a trouble spot for fast drivers, is getting new speed cushions to help slow things down. Crews have installed seven cushions along the stretch between Winston Churchill and Lorne Park, with a raised crosswalk on the way. These additions are meant to encourage safer driving without interrupting emergency vehicles, since the cushions leave room at the edges for larger vehicles to pass.
Ward 2 Councillor Alvid Tedjo has called Truscott the worst residential street for speeding in the city, noting drivers often push well past the 40 km limit. The new measures are part of a broader plan that brings similar upgrades to streets across Mississauga. For families who walk, cycle or simply live along these routes, the goal is a calmer, safer neighbourhood feel that everyone can count on.
